Amitabh Bachchan lives a simple life with his wife Jaya Prada till one day when his mentor Sadashiv Amrapurkar rapes her, who then commits suicide. David is implicated for murder. Many years later, Bachchan returns from jail, determined to take revenge against those who ruined his life. As he sets out on the trail, he finds his own son (Bachchan himself) standing in his way as a cop.
The edge-of-the-seat thriller also features, Sridevi. Gori ka saajan, saajan ki gori still remains a much-heard song.
