Zee Talkies milestone movie KAKSPARSH – One of the greatest love stories to have ever been told in Marathi films is completing its 100 days on 11th Aug 2012. The film was released across Maharashtra on 4th May, 2012. On the eve of Indian Cinema entering into its 100th year Zee Talkies has gone all out in securing the film a good release in cinema halls. The film has entered the 15th week and still the shows are running Housefull which is certainly a rarity for a Marathi movie.

The story of the film is set in the 1930’s and has been superbly executed as a period drama. It is the best love story which also managed to fetch popular as well as critical acclaim. Box-office 2012 had been a cold affair in its recent weeks as far as Marathi and Bollywood films. But Zee Talkies film KAKSPARSH changed the game by clocking a phenomenal collection and set the box office on fire. After NATARANG – Zee Talkies has again re written the rules of Box Office by delivering the biggest hits of recent times not only in Marathi Cinema but also in Indian Cinema.

“It had good content and performances to boast of and audiences were starved of good cinema for quite some weeks”, say critics and trade experts. “Evidently it opened with massive response and went beyond expectations”.

KAKSPARSH – A film which is creatively stimulating, entertaining, enlightening and beautifully arresting, is a cinematic canvas with just the right strokes of acting talents, story, music, cinematography and but of course path-breaking direction. KAKSPARSH was a dream project of Mahesh Manjrekar. It has been shot on the backdrop of the period 1930- 1955 and revolves around the happenings in a Brahmin family. Story is written by Usha Datar with the screenplay dialogues by Girish Joshi, the film’s music is composed by Rahul Ranade on the lyrics by Kishor Kadam. Art directors Prashant Rane and Abhishek Vijaykar are the creators of the majestic sets of that era. Cinematography is done by Ajit Reddy and editing by Rahul Bhatankar.

KAKSPARSH is the biggest hit of 2012, starring Sachin Khedekar, Priya Bapat and Ketaki Mategaonkar, the biggest grosser of 2012 till date. Now viewers can watch the Blockbuster film at home.
