There are some who go through life with a permanent frown plastered on their faces, simply because they are pre-disposed to being grumpy and grouchy.

There are some who go through life with a permanent frown plastered on their faces, simply because they are pre-disposed to being grumpy and grouchy. Then there are others who aren’t originally short-fused, stern and cold, but become that way as a result of the trying circumstances life presents them with. Premiering on Monday, November 7, Zee TV’s latest primetime offering ‘Hitler Didi’ introduces you to Indira Sharma, who has forgotten what it means to smile, dream and love somewhere along the path of life. Weighed down considerably by the enormous responsibility of single-handedly providing for her large family, young Indira throws herself into the daunting task and the well-being of her family becomes her sole agenda in life. In facing the daily challenges thrown her way on both the home and work front, she loses her sense of humour, her ability to feel finer emotions and becomes a regimental disciplinarian, a workaholic and a perfectionist who is almost always on the verge of losing her cool. Enter then, Rishi, a tenant whose sunny smile, light-hearted wit and jovial spirit comes like a breath of fresh air for a family that is beginning to feel exasperated under the reign of their Hitler Didi. Will sparks fly when such sharply contrasting personalities cross paths under the same roof? Will Rishi be successful in getting Indira to smile, dream and love all over again? Only time will tell!

Playing the young, steely, career-driven and dynamic Indira with aplomb is the beautiful Rati Pandey. The ensemble cast includes veterans like Rituraj Singh, Sejal Shah and well-known faces such as Sandeep Baswana, Smita Singh and Gargi Sharma. Making an impressive debut on the small screen as the effervescent Rishi is Sumit Vats, a fresh male lead opposite Rati Pandey. The show is written and produced by Ila bedi of Trilogy Krikos Productions and the crisp dialogue of the show is credited to Satyam Tripathi.

With the Sharma family staying in the constantly buzzing locality of Chandni Chowk and Indira working at an office in the famous Connaught Place, Hitler Didi brings alive the essence of modern-day, middle-class Delhi. The show has been shot extensively in the capital city at famous sites that Delhi is synonymous for such as Karol Bagh, Lal Quila, India Gate, Jama Masjid, Sadar Bazaar amongst others.

Mr. Sukesh Motwani, Head- Fiction Programming, Zee TV said, “In fine alignment with the channel’s new brand identity, Zee TV is happy to bring its audience a fresh primetime show that reflects its spirit of eternal hope. Hitler Didi is all about learning to be able to smile, dream and love all over again. It captures Indira Sharma s transition from being a steely, cold and dry person to someone warm and vulnerable. The show is extremely positive and light-hearted in its tonality and the audience will be able to connect with the protagonists very well.”

Zee TV plans to deploy an aggressive 360* marketing campaign to launch Hitler Didi, with unique innovations, particularly in the realms of ambient media, that are bound to grab eye-balls and generate buzz across the country.

Stay tuned to Zee TV as Hitler Didi premieres on Monday, November 7 at 8 PM.
